Building on the runaway success of last
year’s auction, Windsor Historical Society plans another pre-holiday
auction on the evening of Friday, November 19, 2010 from 6:00 to 9
p.m. This year’s affair will be held in the Birch Meadows Banquet
Facility at 76 Dudleytown Road on the Windsor- Bloomfield line.
A selection of cheeses, crackers,
assorted vegetable and fruit dips and chips, hot passed hors d'oeuvres,
desserts, coffee, tea, soda, and juice will be served. Also
a cash bar. So reserve
the date on your calendar now. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased at
the Society..
Take this opportunity for the holiday season to find a special gift or
an experience to be treasured and remembered. Or sponsor a class
field-trip to Windsor Historical Society or a Windsor family in need
through the Town of Windsor’s Project Santa Elves. Tickets are available
for $25 at the Society’s offices at 96 Palisado Avenue (Route 159); call
860-688-3813 x 102 for more information. The Society will take sealed or
left bids from people who can’t be present on auction night. An auction
ticket is necessary to place bids. Auction purchases support Windsor
Historical Society’s programs for schoolchildren and adults, and the
operation of the Society’s historic houses, research library, exhibition
galleries, and family learning center.
