Exhibition Opening:  Combustion Engineering:  A Windsor Landmark

May 10       3:30 PM – 7:30 PM

In 2010, Combustion Engineering’s new owner ABB, Inc., made a generous donation of artifacts, photographs, and archival materials to Windsor Historical Society.  The exhibition uses these materials to portray the company’s history and its role in the development of Windsor’s Day Hill Road area and in the development of the nation’s nuclear and fossil fuel industries.  The corporate culture and the lengthy rehabilitation process involved in restoring brownfields to greenfields will also be addressed.  The exhibition runs through December 31, 2011.  Light refreshments will be served at exhibition opening.  FREE to the public.
