204 Palisado Avenue was the home lot of Horace Hooker, one of the founders of the “Hooker and Chaffee” mercantile firm.  Hooker, his brother James and his partner John Chaffee were West Indies merchants, and in the late 18th century, the now-quiet Palisado green was the site of a bustling town market.  Sailing vessels docked on the Farmington River and sailors rolled barreled goods up the street to  market where teamsters lined up thirty deep to buy goods.  Horace Hooker and his partners sent provisions to the citizens of Boston in 1774 when the British blockaded the port in response to the Boston Tea Party.    Jester Neal Brundage will play Horace Hooker.
